The Japanese people laugh at the Bujinkan

I don't know if you know this or not, but however legendary the Bujinkan and Masaaki Hatsumi may be seen by the westerners, they are looked down by the Japanese themselves. There is a reason why every single video containing a Bujinkan seminar and gathering contains only white westerners, even in the homeland of Japan. The reason why is because the methods being practiced are already found in other arts that are more mainstream in Japan. Combine that with the fact that the Bujinkan has a light touch when it comes to the difficulty of training and quality of application, plus the lack of competition, and the Bujinkan really has nothing to offer than the fantasy of being a ninja.

So how is it possible that a ninjutsu organization only really offers the same things that can be found in other mainstream arts? The answer is simple. The Bujinkan organization tries to tell you that there's such a thing like a "ninja throw" or a "ninja punch". Here's the problem though, a throw is a throw and a punch is a punch; there's nothing "ninja" about it. There's only a limited number of ways you can stab and punch someone, and there's no enticement to train in such an organization when you can compare the shit training to the legit judo and karate dojo's that can be found on every corner.

 I'm pretty sure it's impossible to reinvent concepts in hand-to-hand that hasn't already been covered and been done extensively before in the entire history of the human race.

Ninjutsu is not a hand-to-hand fighting system. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is selling you something.
